Have you ever come across lyrics videos in the past? Simply put they are videos that have a specific piece of music playing and the video then displays text that contain the lyrics to that music. That is really all there is to it, and while some lyrics videos may get creative with how they display the lyrics – at its core any text will do.

It will make learning how to add subtitles to a video easy – which is essentially what you need to create a lyrics video. Assuming you have both, you can launch the editor and select ‘Create project in full feature mode’ to get started.

The first thing that you should do is click on the ‘Add Media Files’ button and select the music to add it to Movavi Video Editor. As soon as it is added it will appear in the ‘Audio Track’ on the ‘Timeline’, and you can then select backgrounds or add a video too to occupy the video track.

When you’re ready to start adding the lyrics using Movavi Video Editor, you should click on the ‘Titles’ tab and browse through the options that are available. After you decide on the one that you want, drag it down to the ‘Timeline’ and position it at the point where the lyrics start.

After the title is positioned at the right part of the ‘Timeline’, double-click it then double-click the sample text in Movavi Video Editor’s ‘Preview’ window and type in the lyrics that are meant to appear at that point. If you want you can move the text element around, so that it is positioned properly.

If you want you can then click on the ‘Font properties’ button to customize the appearance of the lyrics that you added, or the ‘Color properties’ button to adjust its colors. When you’re satisfied you can click ‘Apply’ and then repeat the process to add more lyrics using Movavi Video Editor.

Be sure to preview your video at least once to check it when you’re done, and then click ‘Export’ to have Movavi Video Editor save it in a format of your choice.
